Jeff McGarry was paralyzed from the neck down just before his 18th birthday in a diving accident. One thing Jeff realized after his injury was that he wanted to help others. That desire, he said, was fueled by the assistance he received from Missouri KIDS. The organization helped the McGarry’s with modifications to the family van and provided funds for books while Jeff was in college.
Jeff went on to become a vocational rehab counselor, helping people from all walks of life.
Jeff often talked about how blessed he was. In fact, it was a blessing to have Jeff McGarry as a Missouri KID.
