Meet Blake

Blake using his chair provided by MO KIDS

Blake is from Owensville, Missouri and attended Owensville High School where he was on the wrestling team in the 285 weight class. In 2008 at age 19, Blake became a MO kid after falling from a tree stand. The fall injured his C1, C5, and C6 vertebrae causing a quadriplegic spinal cord injury. Missouri KIDS has helped by providing a wheelchair accessible van with e-z locks, assistance with ADA home modifications, a computer, and a hunting device that allows Blake to continue doing what he loves. His interests include cars and motorcycles, and he enjoys spending time in his pool during the summer. He also is an advocate of hunter safety and speaks to Hunter Safety students. He hopes that his message will help others take seriously the constant need to keep safety first in all aspects of hunting.
