ADA Home Modifications
Making A Home ADA Accessible
ADA Home Modifications are changes made to one’s home that help improve accessibility. These add-ons help create a more comfortable living experience for our KIDS. When having to pay out of pocket, these modifications can put a dent in a families financial situation. Some families are forced to install things such as Wheelchair Ramps, Stair Lifts, Wider Doorframes, and more.
Assistance We Provide
Being disabled and living in a non-ADA modified home can make everyday things difficult for a recipient. Not having things like wider doorframes, stair lifts, wheelchair ramps and more, make getting around harder. That’s why Missouri KIDS helps with ADA home modifications. We understand these struggles and want to assist our recipients in making their homes more accessible for them.
We will attempt to provide assistance with home modifications such as:
- Wheel Chair Ramps
- Bigger Door Frames
- Handrails and Grab Bars
- Walk-in bathtubs
- Stair lifts
- Environmental Systems
Missouri KIDS recipients may continue to receive resources from us long after their injuries. In addition, Missouri KIDS recipients Doug, Greg, John and others are now becoming mentors to younger recipients. Eagerly waiting to share their experience and knowledge.
We offer assistance with other things such as:
