Dru is from Perryville, Missouri and was a junior at Perryville High School at the time of her accident. Dru became an MO kid after an ATV accident. An ATV rolled over Dru’s leg causing major damage to the lower leg, and the leg could not be saved. Dru’s leg had to be amputated above the knee.

Missouri KIDS helped her by providing monetary assistance for her prosthetic leg. Dru graduated from high school in the top ten of her class with summa cum laude honors and was chosen class valedictorian.  She is on a scholarship attending college at SIUE.  Dru was accepted into the Alpha Phi sorority.
